Guide to Health - Integrative tools to manage children’s anxiety (in school): guiding light to better mental health
European schools are facing a rapidly changing socio-economic environment, the exponential growth of digitalisation, and its impact on students’ lives. In this context, increasing emphasis is being placed on the skills and competences that enable students to adapt to the changing needs of society and the labour market.
Young people are growing up in an environment characterised by rapid change and unpredictable challenges, while also facing the developmental and life challenges that are a natural part of adolescence. Every day, they are faced with choices and decisions that can sometimes have a significant impact on their lives.
Choosing a career path, a future profession, or even a sport or leisure activity requires background knowledge and a structured way of thinking. It also draws on a wide range of skills and competences. We refer to this combination as life management skills.
- Promoting the mental health and well-being of teenagers, teachers and support professionals;
- Developing and administering self-assessment questionnaires for teenagers and teachers;
- Workshops and training programmes for teachers;
- Developing an E-Guidebook.
We will consider the project successful if the workshops we organise and the methodological guides we develop, taken together, help identify solutions to the problems and mental health challenges faced by adolescent students, as revealed by the self-assessment questionnaires. The true impact of the project will be achieved when its outputs reach teachers and support professionals working in schools and can be applied in their everyday practice.

Suprem - Successful preparation model for schools
European schools are grappling with a rapidly changing socioeconomic environment, the exponential growth of digitalization, and its impact on students’ lives. Under these circumstances, they emphasize the skills and competencies that enable students to adapt to the needs of society and the labor market. The younger generation faces a rapidly changing environment and unpredictable challenges, while teenagers also experience well-known life crises. Every day, they are faced with choices and must make decisions that sometimes have a tremendous impact on their lives. Choosing a career path, a future profession, or even just a sport or leisure activity requires background knowledge and a certain kind of structured thinking that involves many skills; we define this as life management skills.
The aim of our initiative is to help pupils develop their life skills, with the support of schools, teachers and parents, so that they can achieve the best possible outcomes in their lives. We consider it essential to focus on career choice as a critical factor and to prepare students and parents for this challenging stage of life.
- To help teachers transform their traditional teaching methods by using more creative and innovative approaches (such as project-based, question-based, problem-based, work-based and mirrored classroom methods);
- To develop teachers’ competences in harnessing the potential of Open Educational Resources (OER) through the rapid development of short, advanced-level training programmes;
- Promoting creativity and entrepreneurial skills in education, as well as facilitating the continuous professional development of teachers;
- Strengthening teachers’ ability to collaborate effectively both within and outside the school;
- Increasing students’ responsibility for their own learning outcomes and learning processes;
- Developing 21st-century skills and key competences amongst students;
- Promoting more effective activities to track graduates’ careers by developing systematic and supportive ‘alumni’ processes (i.e. maintaining contact with the institution’s former students).
